Cosmology Group

Szczecin Cosmology Group started its activity in the beginning of the 90ties. It is formed of the scientific staff of the
Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Szczecin and the Division of Relativity and Cosmology of the Institute of Physics. The main research interests of the group are concentrated on the topics listed below.

Fundamental cosmology which is based on the theories of unification of all the fundamental interactions (nuclear strong, nuclear weak, electromagnetic, and gravitational). Superstring and M-theory cosmology. Brane cosmology. Pre-Big-Bang cosmology scenario and superinflation. Ekpyrotic/cyclic cosmology. Horava-Witten cosmology. Inflation and large-scale structure of the universe. Large extra dimensions. Gravitational waves. Supernovae observations applied to cosmology. Phantom cosmology and phantom duality. Sudden future singularity cosmology. Chaotic cosmology. Dark energy and quintessence. Quantum cosmology and loop quantum cosmology. The structure of space-time singularities. Inhomogeneous cosmology. Scalar-tensor cosmology. Conformally invariant cosmology. Energy and superenergy in relativity and cosmology.
